We are now looking for a Business Development Representative, Mid Market to join our team located at the Herengracht in the center of Amsterdam. Be one of our first sales hires and work along with the founder team to grow the business by making work accessible for everyone globally. We are currently expanding our sales, operations and tech team, and this will be our first sales position specifically for Mid-Market with a main focus on the Netherlands.

This gives the opportunity to become part of a profitable, fast-growing company with the flexibility to grow and own a targeted account list to drive new business. The ideal candidate has the ability to create new opportunities mainly via cold prospecting and grow into a full cycle sales role.

About the Job

Role:

  • Account Executive, Mid-Market

Objective:

  • Grow and own a targeted book of business to develop our business with Mid-Market companies looking to hire fixed & flex remote customer support talent

  • Setup along with co-founder the sales team and refine the go-to-market strategy

Scope:

  • Reporting to a Co-Founder.

  • Focus on Mid-Market companies (100-1,000 heads), mainly Netherlands focused

  • Focus of 50% on (cold) opening and 50% on closing opportunities generated by a BDR

  • Opportunity to grow to Sales Lead role

Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow a defined book of Mid-Market business in NL

  • Develop a plan and tactics for acquiring (open & close) new business in the Netherlands

  • Manage the client buying journey full-cycle with 50% opportunities self-created and 50% via BDR

  • Keep CRM system up to date with customer information, forecasts, and pipeline data

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 year B2B sales experience (2 year as AE), preferably ex-BDR

  • A proven track record of driving cold client acquisition, closing and developing new tactics

  • Proven track record in pipeline generation (hunting type)

  • Knowledge of HubSpot CRM or other main CRM platform

  • Strong written and spoken communication in Dutch and English

  • Start-up and/or scale-up experience

Soft skills:

  • Confidence to pick up the phone and make outbound, cold calls

  • Ability to pitch new products into the market

  • Ability to convince prospects to buy

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience in building a GTM motion in early-stage start-ups

  • Experience selling with a tech/SaaS company

  • Experience selling to Mid-Market B2C companies in Netherlands
