To build out our talent platform and integrations, we are now looking for a Full Stack Developer to join us at our Herengracht office in the center of Amsterdam. You will closely work with our tech and data team to launch innovative use cases that further strengthen our platform’s features and integrations. This gives you the opportunity to be part of a profitable and fast growing tech startup, with plenty of room to help define our data roadmap. The ideal candidate is able to take ownership of our code and lead its further development.

About the role

Role:

• Full Stack Developer (React, TypeScript, Symfony, PHP)

• Reporting to Tech Lead

Objective:

• Build, validate and maintain features across the frontend and backend of our talent platform web application

Scope:

• Software development and third party API integrations

• Work closely with our tech team and external dev agency

Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize backend features with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability

• Build and maintain frontend applications with a strong focus on performance and user experience

• Design and manage database architectures (MySQL) for efficiency and performance

• Design, build, and optimize RESTful APIs to support seamless frontend interaction

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance across frontend and backend, ensuring high availability

• Contribute to infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform
  

Requirements

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in TypeScript and React

• Proficiency in PHP and Symfony

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and full stack system design

• Strong knowledge of MySQL and database optimization

• Strong grasp of frontend performance optimization techniques

• Experience working with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus

Experience:

• 2 - 5 years of work experience in full stack or closely related frontend and backend roles

• Proven track record of developing scalable web applications

• Experience in designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces

• Experience in backend development, database management, and performance optimization

• Demonstrated ability to work on complex projects from concept to deployment

• Experience working with and deploying applications in cloud environments

Soft skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with SaaS, platforms, marketplaces, or AI-driven products

• Understanding of generative AI for backend interactions

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
