Job Description

We are now looking for a Data scientist to join our team located at the Keizersgracht in the center of Amsterdam. Be our first in-house data hire and shape our innovative marketplace to make work accessible for everyone globally. We're currently working with an agency to develop our platform, and this will be our first internal position to grow the in-house tech team.

Role:

• Data scientist 

Objective:

• Spearhead the team’s data success by building, validating and maintaining our data roadmap.

Scope:

• Reporting to the Co-Founder.

• Be the first in-house data hire

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize Machine Learning models to improve hiring efficiency, predict candidate success, and enhance business operations.

• Build and maintain NLP-based solutions for resume parsing, automated job matching, and candidate profiling.

• Design and execute A/B tests to improve platform features, user engagement, and decision-making.

• Work with structured and unstructured datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights.

• Deploy AI-powered solutions to automate repetitive tasks and enhance operational workflows.

• Develop data pipelines and cloud-based analytics solutions in collaboration with engineers.

• Create interactive dashboards and reports to support business teams in making data-driven decisions.

Requirements

Technical skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

• Strong programming skills in Python (Pandas, NumPy, FastAPI).

• Experience with Cloud & Big Data technologies (AWS S3, Glue, Athena, Supabase).

• Proficiency in SQL & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, DynamoDB).

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, Seaborn).

• Bonus: Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for AI-driven applications.

Experience:

• >2 years work experience with mainstream frameworks

• Proven track record of developing full-stack applications.

• Experience in AI integration and database management.

• Demonstrated ability to work on complex projects from concept to deployment.

• Experience in managing and deploying applications in cloud environments.

Soft skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with marketplaces and AI-driven projects.

• Understanding of generative AI database prompting.
